NHS Wales, through its Informing Healthcare program, sought to modernize its services by creating a secure online portal named My Health Online for its patients. The challenge was to develop and deliver this Microsoft .NET solution against extremely tight timescales and budget constraints.

Capgemini partnered with other firms to define software architectures, develop functional components, and migrate the solution to the production environment. Using agile development techniques, Capgemini helped deliver the high-quality initial release on time and on budget, which was successfully transitioned to live hosting. This achievement led to Capgemini being recognized with a 2006 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award.
