Navantia, a publicly-owned Spanish military shipbuilding company, sought to modernize and standardize the management systems at its Engine and FABA production plants. To improve outdated and inefficient processes with low integration, the company enlisted the vendor Capgemini to implement a strategic technology revamping project based on the SAP tool.

Capgemini designed and implemented an innovative SAP solution that integrated the entire production chain, including the highly innovative iPPE module for product engineering. This project successfully replaced obsolete applications that had been in use for over twenty years, significantly increasing functionality and integration. The result was a major technological innovation for Navantia, with both plants beginning operation of the new system within the agreed timeframes, fulfilling all expectations.
