The NATO C3 Agency required a top-down, interoperable architecture to meet its long-term consultation, command, and control needs for the 26-nation alliance. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Capgemini, leveraging its Integrated Architecture Framework to develop a comprehensive plan for a more flexible and responsive organization.

Capgemini worked with the agency to create an Overarching Architecture using a service-oriented approach. This solution established the foundational architecture for NATO Network Enabled Capabilities (NNEC), provided a roadmap to transform existing systems, and developed NATO's first true enterprise architecture, guiding the transformation into a service-oriented enterprise for superior decision-making.
