Case Study: Mobilize achieves more sustainable urban mobility with Capgemini Engineering

A Capgemini Case Study

Preview of the Mobilize Case Study

Mobilize improves automotive sustainability with a compact, electric, connected and shared microvehicle

Mobilize, Renault Group’s new mobility brand in Europe, wanted to refine the design of its electric quadricycle Duo and utility version Bento so they would be sustainable, affordable, and better suited to urban drivers. To meet those goals, Mobilize partnered with Capgemini Engineering to challenge and improve the original design while staying within cost, sustainability, and timeline constraints.

Capgemini Engineering helped redesign multiple elements of Duo, including developing a cost-conscious air conditioning solution and validating the use of greener materials. The two-year collaboration led to the launch of an updated two-seat urban vehicle revealed in October 2024, featuring more than 40% recycled material and engineered in France, while keeping performance, comfort, safety, and connectivity intact.
