A Capgemini Case Study
The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic sought to develop a concrete roadmap and strategy for implementing eGovernment initiatives at the municipal level. To address this challenge, the ministry engaged the vendor Capgemini and its Transformation Consulting service to define program management methodologies and create a comprehensive strategy.
Capgemini developed a feasibility study that established a framework for the projects, which included a detailed process analysis of municipality services and the design of a reference architecture for every level of government. The solution proposed by Capgemini was adopted for implementation, and its findings directly enabled the establishment of a centralized shared service center (DCOM) to provide eGovernment solutions to municipalities that could not afford their own.
