A Capgemini Case Study
The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic faced a challenge from the European Union to implement stricter and standardized project management discipline across the country's public sector to manage its significant EU funding. The ministry engaged Capgemini to elaborate on its Project Management Methodology to meet this requirement.
Capgemini designed a new methodology based on PRINCE2 and other best practices, creating a comprehensive framework of processes, guidelines, and templates. As a result, the methodology became the official standard for the entire Slovak public sector. This unification with vendors provided the Ministry of Finance with greater transparency, a higher level of control over suppliers, and a reduced administrative burden for public sector employees.
