Loyalty Management Netherlands (LMN), operator of the Air Miles program, sought to replace its custom technology landscape to increase the speed of transactions and improve overall flexibility and cost-effectiveness. To meet this challenge, the company selected vendor Capgemini to implement a new standardized SAP loyalty management solution.
Capgemini implemented the SAP system, successfully migrating a billion transactions and the entire customer database. This new solution dramatically increased transaction speeds to under one second and provided the flexibility to easily add new features and run personalized campaigns. As a result, LMN grew its membership from 3.3 to 3.7 million, and the system proved its robustness by handling a 200-fold surge in transactions during a major promotion.
