A Capgemini Case Study

Preview of the Integrys Energy Group Case Study

Integrys Energy Group - Customer Case Study

Integrys Energy Group, a US-based energy holding company, wanted to standardize its business processes and reduce operating costs. To achieve this, they needed to migrate from outdated SAP and Oracle PeopleSoft systems to a current version of PeopleSoft and move to a new hardware platform. They selected the vendor Capgemini to assist with this technology transformation.

Capgemini implemented Oracle PeopleSoft 9.0 and migrated the technical architecture from a Mainframe/DB2 environment to Unix Servers and Oracle Database. This solution, developed in collaboration with Integrys, was delivered on time and on budget. Capgemini’s work enabled Integrys to expect significant financial benefits over five years, including spend reductions in supplies and inventory, as well as productivity improvements that allow for headcount reduction through natural attrition.
