Ingram Micro Drives Transformation With Master Data Foundation

Ingram Micro, a global technology distributor and platform business, was undergoing digital transformation and needed to standardize processes, improve governance, and make reporting and analytics more accurate across its worldwide operations. Working with Capgemini, the company sought a master data foundation to keep data consistent across systems and support new subscription and recurring-revenue business models.

Capgemini helped Ingram Micro implement SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) as a central hub for master data, along with a global template covering data cleansing, training, loading, and testing. The solution established a worldwide book of record and shared-services model, improved data quality and consistency, and enabled better business insights; country rollouts were completed in about three to four months each, with global completion targeted for September 2023.
