ING Direct UK, a division of the world's leading direct savings bank, sought to replicate the success of its automated savings product by launching a complex new mortgage service. Their challenge was to build a highly automated, secure, and customer-friendly system that required real-time integration with numerous external business and technology partners for processes like valuations and credit scoring. They engaged Capgemini as a strategic integration partner to help realize this vision.
Capgemini implemented the solution using a Service-Oriented Architecture and their Rightshore™ delivery model, leveraging teams in both the UK and India. They integrated ING Direct’s existing CRM with new and external systems, resulting in a highly automated platform. For many re-mortgage applications, the only manual step required is verifying a payslip, as underwriting, valuations, and payments are all coordinated through real-time messaging. Capgemini's collaboration delivered a high-quality system on time, enabling a successful product launch for ING Direct.
