Esaote, a leading medical devices and diagnostic imaging company, needed to move to a Digital Manufacturing model and harmonize production across plants. The company wanted better efficiency, traceability, maintenance planning, and lower scrap, rework, and quality costs, and it worked with Capgemini using SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) on HANA, SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII), and SAP ERP.
Capgemini implemented an Industry 4.0 solution that integrated production, logistics, ERP, and after-sales processes in real time, with digital reporting, KPI tracking, and Device History Record digitization. As a result, Esaote reported 10-15% improvements in efficiency and lead time, plus 10% reductions in quality defects, scrap, and rework costs, along with better scalability, fewer unplanned halts, and improved user experience.
