Huaxin Cement Company Limited, a major Chinese cement manufacturer, faced the challenge of standardizing its management systems across all locations. As Holcim became its largest shareholder, Huaxin needed to implement unified business processes compatible with Holcim's global ERP template while also meeting strict local Chinese financial regulations. Capgemini implemented a phased SAP rollout using its DeliverSAP methodology, which was based on Holcim's global template but customized for local Chinese standards. The solution balanced global and local needs, particularly overcoming a major challenge with Parallel Ledgers in the SAP FICO module. The result was a reliable, standardized SAP system with a fully trained user team, enabling a successful deployment at the pilot sites and paving the way for a simplified rollout to over 26 subsidiaries.
