A Capgemini Case Study
The Federal Employment Agency (BA), one of Germany's largest public IT service providers, sought to modernize its extensive IT landscape to improve efficiency and expand digital eGovernance channels for its customers. To achieve this, it partnered with Capgemini to develop a sustainable corporate architecture and implement a consistent, service-oriented IT system.
Capgemini supported the BA by defining a target architecture and establishing an architecture board for oversight. They implemented medium-term planning, developed an SOA strategy, and provided operational support, all while transferring knowledge to the BA's internal team. This collaboration resulted in efficient management processes that eliminated duplication, reduced costs, increased flexibility, and enabled new eGovernment solutions for the agency.
