Case Study: BMW Group Mexico achieves WLTP-compliant emissions data management with Capgemini

A Capgemini Case Study

Preview of the BMW Group Mexico Case Study

Equipping drivers for the next generation of regulations

BMW Group faced the challenge of meeting new Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) regulations, which required providing comprehensive, individualized emissions data for each vehicle configuration. To comply with these legal requirements for type approval, they needed new IT solutions to collect data and calculate consumption rates. They partnered with vendor Capgemini to address this challenge.

Capgemini developed a secure system called EVE to manage the complexity of the WLTP process, collecting necessary data and calculating consumption and emission rates. This solution enabled successful and efficient type testing that complied with all legal requirements. The project was delivered on time after an intense 16-week implementation phase, strengthening the partnership between Capgemini and BMW Group and paving the way for an agile DevOps transformation.
