E.ON SE, a global energy and utilities company, sought to transform into a more digital organization but needed to strengthen its associated structures and governance to operationalize this change. To address this challenge, the company partnered with Capgemini and utilized its services to establish a central Digital Transformation Office (DTO).
Working with Capgemini, E.ON implemented a DTO structured around four key pillars: program management, portfolio review, rollout support, and change management. This solution successfully established the new governance structure, secured the roll-out of digital initiatives, and achieved significant employee engagement through communication and upskilling efforts. Capgemini helped ensure the continuation of the digitalization program, enabling E.ON to continuously identify new digital priorities and projects.
