Eneco moves applications to Oracle for faster performance

Eneco Group, a sustainable energy provider in the Netherlands, wanted to reduce time spent managing IT infrastructure to focus more on strategic projects. Partnering with Capgemini, the company sought to migrate its mission-critical applications, including a custom billing system, and identified Oracle's Exadata Cloud Service as the target platform.

Capgemini implemented the migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, completing an initial phase for nine critical applications. The project was expanded, and a key data center shutdown was executed in just four months. The results included a 50% reduction in project costs, lower ongoing maintenance fees, and improved system performance and availability for Eneco's business users.
