A Capgemini Case Study

Preview of the Dutch Police Case Study

Dutch Police - Customer Case Study

The Dutch Police, a fragmented organization comprising 25 autonomous regional departments and a national agency, faced significant challenges due to misaligned business and IT strategies. This hindered their ability to effectively combat rising technology-related crime. To address this, they engaged Capgemini Consulting to help define a unified, long-term information strategy that could bridge these gaps and modernize their operations.

Capgemini employed its RApid INnovation (RAIN) methodology, facilitating an intensive three-day expedition with over 50 police stakeholders. The solution involved extensive pre-event analysis, visual thinking workshops, and the co-creation of a comprehensive strategy and implementation roadmap. The tangible results included the formulation of seven basic principles for their information strategy, the identification of key focus areas and quick wins, and the creation of a deeply motivated community of ambassadors. Capgemini also delivered a digital Virtual Interactive Environment to help the police maintain focus on their long and short-term transformation goals.
