Case Study: Dijon Métropole achieves smarter urban services and 40% cost savings with Capgemini

A Capgemini Case Study

Preview of the Dijon Metropole Case Study

Dijon becomes a smart city supported by digital technology

Dijon Metropole wanted to turn its entire urban area into a connected smart city by linking citizens, equipment, services, and emergency teams through a single digital network. To support the OnDijon project, Capgemini worked with partners to create a citywide digital platform for managing public services across the métropole.

Capgemini helped implement an AI-enabled platform and smartphone app that connected the command center with machines, sensors, and citizens, improving coordination for emergencies, maintenance, and mobility. The results included 630 daily citizen requests processed, a 40% cost reduction for the same services, and the ability to maintain essential operations during COVID-19, including 18,700 calls handled in a key period.
