Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE), a technology leader in the oil and gas industry, sought to improve productivity and gain real-time visibility into its manufacturing operations. To address this challenge, BHGE partnered with Capgemini to implement an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solution for its Turbomachinery & Process Solutions plants in Italy.

Capgemini implemented an IIoT solution that connected machines and data sources on the shop floor, providing operators with real-time dashboards and insights. This solution standardized processes and enabled proactive management, preventing 26,000 hours of downtime and achieving a 12% increase in machine utilization within five months. The successful partnership with Capgemini significantly enhanced BHGE's manufacturing efficiency and capacity.
