A Capgemini Case Study
Digital Cinema Media (DCM), a UK cinema advertising firm, faced a challenge as its license for a legacy advertising scheduling system was expiring. The old software, originally written by Capgemini, could not support new multi-format contracts for digital cinema projection. Furthermore, the support contract for its Oracle eBusiness Suite was also ending, prompting the need for a new solution.
Capgemini implemented a supported version of Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 on Linux for DCM, utilizing an Oracle Business Accelerator (OBA) to significantly shorten the implementation timeline. The project was delivered on-time and within budget in just 30 days, allowing DCM to run a fully-supported system. As a result, DCM can now schedule adverts for both digital and 35mm formats, meeting the evolving demands of the cinema advertising industry.
