Daimler AG, a major automotive group, faced the challenge of adapting to changing consumer behavior by establishing a new digital business model. Capgemini implemented the solution by setting up an interim organization that managed the multi-faceted project, which included developing a digital commerce platform, new pricing models, and new contractual agreements. This collaboration resulted in the successful launch of the "Mercedes me" portal within twelve months, creating a foundation for Daimler to offer and manage tailored digital services globally and establishing a direct customer relationship for its new digital offerings.
