A Capgemini Case Study
Corus plc, an international metals company, faced the challenge of a highly complex and costly legacy IT landscape. Their goal was to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and standardize back-office processes in Finance, Procurement, and Plant Maintenance. To address this, they partnered with Capgemini.
Capgemini developed a strategic service-oriented enterprise architecture using their Integrated Architecture Framework (IAF) to support a new SAP implementation. This included designing an enterprise integration framework deployed with IBM WebSphere and SAP XI. The result was a standardized platform that reduced integration complexity, provided a clear reference for future business and IT decisions, and established a strategic model for replacing legacy systems.
