Cooper Standard, a global automotive supplier, needed to migrate to SAP S/4HANA worldwide without disrupting operations. Working with Capgemini and its SAP environment, the company faced the challenge of completing its ERP transformation while minimizing change management across 74 sites, 12 languages, and more than 5,000 users.

Capgemini implemented a brownfield migration to SAP S/4HANA 1809, building on Cooper Standard’s existing SAP ECC footprint and preserving core business processes. The 10-month program included a 115-hour cutover, migration of a five-terabyte database, 6,000 custom objects, and 35 integrated systems, and it went live smoothly with only three weeks of extra post-go-live support. The result was a stronger digital foundation for faster reporting, analytics, cloud-first operations, and future growth into new markets.
