Conair Corporation, a global producer of personal care and kitchen appliances, faced a significant challenge with low-quality product data, which had a 99% error rate. This issue risked its relationships with major national retailers who required Global Data Synchronization (GDS) compliance. Conair engaged the vendor Capgemini to help them meet these requirements and develop a new strategy for data and process commonality.
Capgemini developed a GDS compliance strategy and led a joint project team to implement new business processes, cleanse data, and configure the necessary SAP and middleware applications. As a result, Conair became GDS compliant and successfully published clean product data to the UCCnet for its key customers. The project fostered a new culture that recognized the value of standardized processes and data, ensuring future scalability and improved collaboration with retailers.
