The client, one of the world's largest HR service providers, faced a challenge in managing the massive volume of information from diverse sources like job boards and social media to gain insight into localized job markets. They engaged Capgemini to demonstrate how an enterprise data hub, based on Cloudera Enterprise, could deliver a big data solution for faster access to higher quality information and to develop new services.

Capgemini's solution involved implementing Cloudera Enterprise to store data and run a modeling engine, an analytical SQL database, a data visualization product, and a geo-coding solution. A learning algorithm processed text to match job seekers with openings. The successful proof of concept automated the analysis of 200,000 documents in just two hours with high accuracy, amazing users. Following this low-cost POC, the project is now being expanded to explore around 15 additional business use-cases.
