City of Oslo - Customer Case Study

The City of Oslo's Agency for Urban Environment sought to improve road safety for its young pedestrians but was challenged to gather reliable, actionable input from school children, who are among the most vulnerable road users. They partnered with vendor Capgemini to design a user-friendly mobile application that could effectively crowdsource this critical data from third to seventh graders.

Capgemini utilized its Rapid Prototyping Methodology and Mobile Solutions expertise to develop an intuitive iOS app prototype in just two weeks. The solution, validated by its target audience of young students who could use it without assistance, successfully went into trials. The result is an application that will soon be used by over 43,000 primary school students to provide the city with valuable information on dangerous intersections and traffic problems.
