Case Study: World Rugby achieves stronger women’s leadership in rugby with Capgemini

Capgemini is supporting trailblazing leaders from the world of rugby as part of the Women in Rugby Leadership Program

World Rugby launched the Women in Rugby Leadership Program in 2017 to develop leadership skills for 12 women from around the world each year, but it needed stronger support to expand the program’s reach and impact. Capgemini joined as a global partner in 2022, supporting the initiative through the training and mentoring resources of Capgemini University.

Capgemini helped World Rugby raise the profile of women in the sport and strengthen its leadership pipeline by providing mentors, coaches, and development resources to scholarship recipients. The program has already helped participants gain influential roles in rugby governance and leadership, with scholars describing the connections and guidance from Capgemini as invaluable in advancing women into boardrooms and decision-making positions.
