A Capgemini Case Study

Preview of the Scottish Water Case Study

Capgemini helps Scottish Water optimize applications performance, reduce costs, and improve time to value

Scottish Water, one of the UK’s largest water services providers, needed help optimizing the performance of its 150+ application estate as part of its digital transformation journey. The company turned to Capgemini for infrastructure management, ongoing maintenance, and development support across core platforms including Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, Workday, and Esri.

Capgemini used its ADMnext framework and Rightshore® delivery model to optimize operations and launch transformation projects such as a new digital customer portal for water connections and a Mobile Apps Factory. The results included a projected 53%+ reduction in total cost of ownership, open tickets reduced from about 300 to 50, 450 enhancements delivered, inspection request turnaround cut from five days to four hours, and customer satisfaction increased from 70% to 90%.
