A Capgemini Case Study

Preview of the Siemens Building Technologies Case Study

Capgemini Consulting supported Siemens designing and implementing analytics-based services for connected buildings

Siemens Building Technologies, a division of Siemens that is a world leader in safe and energy-efficient building solutions, sought to reaffirm its market leadership by providing innovative, data-driven services for connected buildings and differentiating itself from commodity providers. Partnering with Capgemini, they aimed to leverage the Internet of Things to develop new offerings for predictive maintenance, sustainability, and energy management.

Capgemini supported Siemens by designing and implementing a comprehensive IoT service platform, from initial strategy and use case prioritization to IT architecture design and vendor selection. This solution enabled Siemens to launch new analytics-based services, leading to an improved system availability for its customers and a decrease in its own maintenance costs. The project strengthened Siemens's leading market position and created new up-selling and cross-selling opportunities for the future.
