A.S.R. Insurance, one of the Netherlands’ largest insurers, needed to consolidate its infrastructure, reduce database maintenance time and costs, and keep its systems SEPA-compliant. Working with Capgemini, it set out to modernize from legacy SAP ECC environments and improve efficiency through SAP S/4HANA.
Capgemini helped A.S.R. Insurance migrate to SAP S/4HANA in two stages, including moving the database to SAP S/4HANA 2.0 and converting the ECC application, while simplifying the data model with a universal journal. The result was faster operations and better reporting, with monthly closure time cut from 12 to 4 hours, renewal processing from 24 to 6 hours, morning batches from 4 to 2 hours, and RAM consumption reduced by 30%.
