A Capgemini Case Study
Leading International Insurer wanted to differentiate its services and win more market share by quickly creating tailored products for lower- and mid-market businesses. Its brokers and underwriters were hampered by an IT setup that forced them to build quotes and proposals from scratch, causing delays and increasing the risk of errors. To address this, the insurer partnered with Capgemini and used a modular low-code/no-code platform.
Capgemini designed and implemented a new digital underwriting platform with a component-based architecture, enabling self-service for brokers and underwriters and allowing product features to be mixed and matched more easily. The result was a major improvement in speed and efficiency: time-to-market dropped from 28 weeks to 10, more than 60 new products were rolled out across 10 countries, and processing efficiency for new business, mid-term adjustments, and renewals improved by 20%.
