The Canadian Olympic School Program, part of the Canadian Olympic Committee, wanted to expand the reach of its Olympic School Web Project and inspire more Canadian students, teachers, and schools through Olympic-themed educational content. The existing site was hidden from search engines, limited by a restrictive platform, and required login before users could access any content. Caorda Web Solutions was selected in 2008 to design, develop, and host a new web site that could better support the program’s goals.

Caorda Web Solutions rebuilt the site on a secure, scalable platform with improved search visibility, open access to key content, registration and login for curriculum downloads, streaming video, interactive polls, multilingual content management, and SEO. The redesigned site dramatically improved engagement and search performance, helping the site reach page-one rankings for many keywords. Results included 470% membership growth to over 65,000 members, 175,000 visitors in February 2010, and 2700% growth in web traffic.
