A True Partnership The Power of Premium Training and Support

Pasco County Schools, a Florida district of 84 schools serving more than 68,000 students, faced a fragmented technology landscape after launching its Pasco eSchool in 2009 and experimenting with multiple learning management systems to meet state virtual-learning requirements. By 2012 the district needed a unified, district-wide LMS to support both virtual and classroom programs more consistently and assembled a cross-functional team to evaluate options.

In 2013 Pasco selected Canvas for its feature set, ease of use, open API and responsive support, and purchased Premium Training and Support to accelerate adoption. Within nine months the district migrated 21 eSchool courses to Canvas, enrolled all 9,200 teachers and staff with accounts and saw 8,900 (97%) complete Canvas professional development; it also trained 25 in-person and 150 virtual “Trailblazer” teachers and launched a Canvas Learning Center to sustain teacher collaboration and LMS fluency.
