Merlin Entertainments, the global attractions operator behind brands like LEGOLAND and SEA LIFE, needed a better way to create consistent employer-brand content across teams. Its recruitment marketing and internal communications teams struggled with limited design resources, slow marketing turnaround, and inconsistent branding on social posts, recruitment ads, presentations, and email collateral. Merlin turned to Canva for Teams to give non-designers an easier, more flexible way to produce on-brand materials.
Canva implemented branded templates, multiple Brand Kits, shareable folders, and tools like presentation features and Background Remover so Merlin teams could self-serve assets and update content in real time. As a result, Merlin improved brand consistency, saved time on last-minute changes, reduced reliance on marketing support, and made design accessible across the business. Canva also helped drive stronger engagement, with Merlin reporting that engagement “has gone through the roof” and that more colleagues wanted to join Canva.
