A Canva Case Study
Marriott, the global hotel group managing more than 7,500 properties across 132 countries, needed a faster way to create localized social media content while keeping 30 brands aligned to strict brand guidelines. Its Caribbean and Latin American social media team struggled with inconsistent posts, limited design tools, and a small team during the pandemic, making it difficult to scale assets for hotels. Canva was brought in to help solve this challenge with Canva for Teams and Brand Kit.
Canva implemented locked brand templates, multiple Brand Kits with fonts, colors, and logos, plus access to a large library of lifestyle photos and videos. Marriott’s team was able to create templates in one day, train new users in about an hour, and produce social posts in less than five minutes. The result was faster content production, easier localization, and much stronger brand consistency across properties, with Canva explicitly helping Marriott reduce design time and prevent off-brand materials.
