How Canva empowers UNHCR to visually communicate in times of crisis

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, needed a faster, more consistent way to create branded fundraising and communications content across a global workforce spread over 130+ countries. With emergency response work, localized campaigns, and donor communications happening at speed, UNHCR needed a design solution that could help staff access approved brand assets and produce on-brand materials without long approval delays. Canva and its Brand Kit were used to support this need.

Canva is helping UNHCR roll out a centralized design platform for teams worldwide, giving staff access to logos, fonts, colors, and templates in one place. As a result, UNHCR teams can create and edit localized social posts, banners, presentations, and emergency updates more quickly and confidently, reducing wait times and streamlining workflows. The impact is faster communication at scale, stronger brand consistency, and greater confidence for non-designers creating professional-looking content.
