Visit Seattle, the city’s Destination Marketing Organization, needed an intuitive digital asset management (DAM) solution to unite internal teams and external photographers/agencies and to stop wasting time on a convoluted previous system. Creative Director David Newman evaluated seven products and chose Canto for its user-friendly, flexible DAM platform that makes tagging, collecting and sharing visual assets simple.
Canto implemented a centralized DAM and a media portal of pre-approved assets for press, enabling marketing and sales to self-serve—new hires learn the system in about 15 minutes—and allowing sales reps to download images on the fly. The streamlined workflows reduced friction and saved time; Visit Seattle reports continued record tourism (40.9 million visitors and $7.8 billion contributed in 2018) as their marketing and sales teams operate more efficiently with Canto.
