Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation transforms media outreach workflow

Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF), a nonprofit research organization focused on diseases like lupus, MS, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer’s, faced a slowing media outreach workflow due to a decades-old, growing archive of imagery. Creative Director Jenny Lee needed a fast, cloud-based digital asset management system to help the public affairs team share assets with media quickly and scale outreach; OMRF selected Canto’s cloud-based DAM platform to meet those needs.

Canto implemented intuitive portals, ad hoc collections and facial recognition to auto-tag people across OMRF’s archives, replacing slow email attachments and enabling 30-minute user training. With Canto, tasks that once took days now take minutes, the team can push campaigns to up to 300 media outlets more efficiently, and overall media outreach and donor-facing visibility have markedly increased.
