Leonardo, a global aerospace, defense and security company, needed to unify dispersed creative assets that were stored on internal networks, hard drives and with individual creators. Joe Walker (Head of Multimedia and New Technology) and photographer Simon Pryor sought a digital asset management solution to store, classify, search and retrieve growing volumes of media while meeting the company’s strict security requirements — a need they addressed by selecting Canto.

Canto implemented a secure DAM with administrator controls, Portals, libraries, share links and tagging, supported by implementation workshops to standardize workflows. The result: hundreds of users can find, upload and share pre-approved assets in real time, with immediate cloud backup from location shoots. Canto’s solution sped production, improved asset discoverability and helped the team produce footage used in a campaign that contributed to winning a U.S. Navy helicopter procurement contract.
