Case Study: International House achieves streamlined asset management and preserves its 90-year history with Canto

A Canto Case Study

Preview of the International House Case Study

International House builds a global community with Canto

International House, a nearly 100-year-old NYC nonprofit that supports graduate students and alumni, faced the daunting task of cataloging and preserving nine decades of photos and videos while making them easy to share with residents and alumni. Audrey Pray, Jr., the organization’s first in‑house creative lead, inherited a chaotic “P Drive” and needed an intuitive, organization‑wide solution — so International House implemented Canto as their digital asset management platform.

Canto became the centralized home for I‑House’s photos, videos and brand assets, offering a visually pleasing, easy‑to‑use interface, powerful search and shareable portals for residents and external stakeholders. Canto transformed asset retrieval from hours of manual searching into quick search-and-retrieve workflows, cut down time spent managing assets, and enabled Audrey and the team to focus on creating materials and strengthening the global I‑House community.
