A Canto Case Study
Furman University, a growing liberal arts college in South Carolina, struggled with a scattered collection of photography across local servers, external drives, Box folders and discs as its communications team expanded. To centralize visual assets for marketing and student recruitment, the university selected Canto’s cloud-based digital asset management/digital library to organize photography and make assets easy to find and share.
Canto was implemented with intuitive search, tagging and metadata, seats for each team member, and shared collection links for other departments; all new photos are stored in Canto and older assets were migrated in. The result is faster, more efficient workflows—team members find the best imagery in less time, use Canto-sourced photos in print and digital materials, and support cohesive storytelling that helped Furman earn a Top 50 Liberal Arts College ranking in 2019.
