Danner strengthens retail relationships with Canto Portals

Danner, the Portland-based footwear brand known for pioneering GORE-TEX boots, faced an urgent need to replace an outdated custom photo storage system and scattered Dropbox folders as the company scaled. The marketing team, led by creative producer Jeff Williamson, needed a modern DAM to distribute brand assets—product and lifestyle photography, digital catalogs, logos and videos—to sales reps and a growing base of retail partners. They selected Canto and its portal functionality to solve this challenge.

Canto was implemented as a central, branded media hub with custom public portals for dozens of national sales reps and their hundreds of wholesale accounts, letting partners search and download approved assets while marketing retains control. The vendor’s solution simplified sales enablement, made asset sharing “easier and faster” than the previous workflow, and eliminated the headaches of the old system—becoming the go-to place for Danner’s content.
