A Canto Case Study
The University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences struggled with siloed asset libraries and no standard workflow, which left faculty and staff spending hours hunting for images and media across shared folders and email chains. To solve this, the school turned to Canto’s digital asset management platform—using its organization, sharing and facial recognition features—to centralize assets and simplify collaboration across seven departments and nearly 30 programs.
Canto implemented a searchable, centralized library that now stores over 25,000 images and videos and is used by roughly 250 faculty and staff for promotional materials, presentations and the website. With Canto’s facial recognition and easy search, the team can pull every photo of a person in about 10 seconds instead of spending hours, enabling faster turnaround, higher output and more time focused on producing quality content.
