Case Study: Better Cotton Initiative achieves streamlined content workflows and expanded visual asset access with Canto

A Canto Case Study

Preview of the Better Cotton Case Study

Better Cotton Initiative advocates sustainable cotton production by expanding content accessibility in Canto

Better Cotton, a global nonprofit that supports farmers and partners with more than 400 brands to promote sustainable cotton, struggled to manage and share storytelling assets for its "Stories from the Field" program. With images scattered across Dropbox and personal computers, Morgan Ferrar and the global communications team faced slow, fragmented workflows and difficulty providing timely assets to internal stakeholders and brand partners, so they chose Canto’s digital asset management (DAM) to centralize their media.

Canto delivered a single, organized library with folder/tag structures, Canto Portals for internal and external sharing, and Photoshop integration for in-system editing. As a result, Better Cotton now quickly finds, edits and distributes images for web, social and reports, has reduced asset requests and duplicate files, and saves significant staff time—enabling the organization and its retailer partners to more easily access and reuse visual stories through Canto.
