Case Study: POPSUGAR streamlines image access with Canto

A DAM that’s an internal stock photo site

POPSUGAR, a large entertainment, fashion, and beauty publisher, needed a way to manage the growing volume of visual assets powering its fast-moving editorial work. To help content producers and post-production editors access images quickly and meet tight deadlines, POPSUGAR turned to Canto for a highly visual digital asset management system that could function as an internal stock photography library.

Using Canto as its DAM and “stock photography house,” POPSUGAR gained an image-rich, easy-to-search repository with flexible metadata tools like keywords, tags, and related files. The result was a more efficient way to build creative projects and editorial posts, plus strong user enthusiasm for the Canto Chrome extension; while no hard metrics were shared, POPSUGAR said Canto helped them stand out and that the solution has been the right fit and continues to evolve with their needs.
