Putnam Investments, an investment management firm, sought to enhance its award-winning FundVisualizer tool, built by Cantina, by embedding an intelligent voice assistant. The challenge was to reduce the time financial advisors spent manually searching for mutual funds and to minimize human error, thereby allowing them to spend more meaningful time with their clients.

Cantina designed and built a beta version of the Intelligent Assistant in under five months. The solution integrated speech recognition, natural-language understanding, and text-to-speech synthesis, utilizing APIs like Google Speech-to-Text. This voice-enabled tool from Cantina is expected to significantly reduce search times, deliver more personalized results through machine learning, and increase the overall value provided to Putnam's clients.
