TopColor Numéric, a French wide-format print service provider based in Colmar, wanted to expand capacity and improve production efficiency as its business grew rapidly. After already using Canon Arizona flatbeds, the team looked to Canon Europe Ltd. and its Océ Colorado 1640 roll-to-roll printer with UVgel technology to help meet rising demand across signage, POS, wall murals, labels, and more.

Canon Europe Ltd. supplied the Océ Colorado 1640, giving TopColor faster turnaround, dry prints for immediate lamination, and the ability to combine print quality, speed, and media versatility in one machine. The new printer helped consolidate work from other devices, enabled four operators to run several shifts, reduced ink usage with four inks instead of six, and allowed TopColor to promise 24-hour delivery for last-minute jobs while supporting its future web-to-print plans.
