Star Storage, an information management company, needed to expand its print and distribution capabilities to handle business-critical documents for customers such as banks, telecoms, and utilities within 24 hours. With space at a premium and growth continuing, the company needed a more productive solution that would boost output without requiring additional floor space. Canon Europe Ltd. provided the technology behind this upgrade, including Océ VarioPrint 6250 presses, a Canon varioPRINT 110, and Canon imagePRESS C800 presses.

Canon Europe Ltd. replaced Star Storage’s ten existing cut sheet digital presses with just five more productive Canon devices, helping the company increase capability in the same physical space. The result was 20% more pages produced without adding manpower, alongside lower production costs, reduced cost per page, and decreased power consumption. The new Canon solution also improved reliability and efficiency while positioning Star Storage to explore new opportunities such as transpromotional print.
