Basecamp Properties, a seven-property hospitality group in Canadian mountain communities, needed a better way to handle guest check-in and protect against fraud. With lobby-less layouts, limited front-desk staffing, and growing concerns about chargebacks, the team looked for a more secure and flexible guest management solution from Canary Technologies, using its check-in and checkout tools.

Canary Technologies implemented a contactless guest management system that pushed guests through a web-based check-in and checkout process, supported PCI-compliant payments, and digitized welcome-book policies. The result was extremely low fraud and chargebacks, improved staff efficiency across all properties, and reduced overhead by eliminating printed welcome books and minimizing the need for additional front-desk coverage.
