Ali’i Resorts LLC, a short-term vacation rental company managing 185 condos across Maui, Hawaii, needed a safer, more efficient way to welcome guests after the COVID-19 shutdowns. The company wanted to reduce face-to-face interaction while still delivering a strong guest experience, and turned to Canary Technologies’ Contactless Check-In and Checkout tools to help solve that challenge.
Canary Technologies implemented a mobile-friendly contactless check-in and checkout process that let guests complete paperwork in advance and choose either a fully contactless arrival or an optional in-person walkthrough. With Canary’s checkout feedback flow, Ali’i Resorts could route low-star reviews internally and direct high-star guests to Google, helping raise its average Google rating from 3.5 to 4.6. The solution also improved guest satisfaction, streamlined operations, and required no new apps or hardware.
